the forehand. Stance and movement

When throwing a forehand, face the receiver. Hold the disc slightly back and away from the body, with the elbow near the side. Keep the left foot stationary and move the right foot sideways and slightly forward. Put weight on the right leg and bend the right knee slightly.

Bring the arm back a bit and then begin to move it forward at waist height. Continue to look at the receiver. Make sure that you do not bring the outside edge up. Lead with the elbow and follow with the forearm. The wrist should then break under, with a motion similar to that you use when skipping a stone. Release the disc with snap and point your hand toward the receiver. The palm should be facing the sky. The arm swingn and release is the most difficult part of this throw.
